The Chocolate Factory, often known locally as ‘Elizabeth Shaw’ or ‘Packers’, is the much anticipated redevelopment of the former chocolate and confectionary site in the heart of Greenbank, BS5. Bringing new homes, workspace, retail and a community hub to enhance the already vibrant neighbourhood of Greenbank this exciting regeneration brings back to life the buildings that once made some of the world’s favourite chocolates.
Greenbank has long been a popular and sought after neighbourhood in east Bristol and the site was a working factory for over 100 years, producing some of the worlds favourite chocolates beloved by children and Royalty alike.
The factory was at the heart of the neighbourhood then and when the development is complete it will be opened up to the community once again, providing family homes, public and community spaces and independent operators offering a range of goods.
The first 3 bedroom family homes are due to go on sale shortly. Running along Co-Operation Road, the houses have south facing gardens and are ideal for first time buyers or couples looking for their first family home and will be available to move into in Spring 2020. In a few months the larger three and four bedroom homes will be available – some of these feature roof terraces and all of these properties have parking.
Abri are our chosen partners for the shared ownership properties and have already sold all 8 apartments in Kernal Point. They will shortly be releasing the apartments in Kibbling House at the end of January.
If you would like to find out more about living at The Chocolate Factory and the homes on offer please register your interest and we will be in touch.
The workspaces at The Chocolate Factory are designed to face on to Central Square, a landscaped public open space that creates new access points directly onto the Bristol to Bath Railway Path. We have allowed for a range of uses designed to serve the needs of the neighbourhood and support local independent businesses. If you are interested in operating your business from Greenbank, please get in touch.
