Construction forward look w/c 18th May

We are pleased to provide the following information regarding planned construction activity for the week commencing 18th May. Please note that the work we have planned may sometimes change. We will do our best to keep you updated with any material changes that may affect you.

During this week, we will be continuing the installation of perimeter scaffolding to the four corners of Block D and recommencing work to the concrete frame. We will also be erecting scaffolding to the front of Block F and making minor adjustments to the existing scaffolding in this area. We will continue to strip materials from the roof of Block F and remove the roof structure, using a temporary water supply to help reduce dust and debris as we do this. Other ongoing work will include the removal of blockwork to both the front and rear elevations of Block F by our workforce on the scaffolding and the installation of drainage runs externally, using excavators, dumpers and diggers both inside and outside.

A towable water bowser remains in use to dampen down work areas around the site on a regular basis and we continue to monitor noise and vibration levels daily to ensure they are within permitted levels.

In order to further improve communication with the local community, Sweet Construct has formed a working group with nominated residents from each of the four roads immediately adjacent to the site. The group will meet (virtually where necessary) on a monthly basis to discuss project progress and works that may impact local residents, encouraging constructive and collaborative discussions regarding ideas, queries and concerns relating to the management of construction on site.
